Well, just got off Etsy for the night. I did a bit of editing and stuff. Changed some shipping locations, prices, and added my profile finally.
I got back from Mama's house earlier today, I used her digital camera to take some pictures of some fabric. Most of it is vintage, some is just recycled or leftover. When it gets daylight out again I will take better pictures (I was in a rush to get to work) and figure prices and post them. I need to find a box and weigh them up at work, one of the perks of working in the shipping and recieving dept of a factory. haha. It makes it so much easier to figure shipping prices!
I joined an Etsy team a couple weeks ago. The Etsy Beagle Street Team to be exact.

So I thought I'd show mine off a little.
This one's name is Missy.
She is a part beagle, part dalmation. It's crazy I know. She's very friendly, we've had her since a puppy. She thinks everyone that walks through our front door is there just to see her!
Here's Tessie.
She's the newest edition, a rescue. Our guess is that she is part beagle, part basset, beacuse she is shorter and longer than a true beagle. When we got her she was at Mostly Hounds Rescue. She's nervous around people most times. It takes her a while to warm up to anyone. I'm proud to say that I am her favorite person!

News and weekend plans.
Today I got some news. At work, they had a sign-up to participate in a holiday craft bizarre! I can’t wait! I talked to the person in charge, Celeste. They want to see if enough people are interested before giving any details on the matter. I’ve never done any sort of craft show or anything so I’m looking forward to it. I’m just glad I get to start out in a place I’m comfortable with, with people I’m comfortable with. I asked my boyfriends grandma, Joann, to let me take a few of her earrings to try to sell them for her. She's helped me a lot with pricing, and she's always a great person to go to with a new project. One of these days she's going to teach me to crochet and knit!
In other news, I started messing around with some beads and some earring findings. This is only the beginning. I’m officially hooked. Here are some of the things I came up with. I’m still too new to the craft to even think of listing them on Etsy, but I’ll get better, I can feel it.
The official candle making date is set with Mama and cousin Vikki, next Saturday. I have many new things to try out and many old ideas to perfect. After I’ve put the finishing touches on them they will be available in my Etsy store.

Open for business!
Ok, well, this is my first blog. I finally got around to blogging about my craft adventures.
A few weeks ago, I opened a store on Etsy.com. For those of you who don't know, Etsy is a place where arts n' crafters can buy and sell things that are handmade. I have been very inpressed with the things that people sell on there. Even more impressed at thier level of commitment, these people really have a passion for what they do! That's nice to see these days. So, anyway, the site inspired me to try and sell a few little crafts that I've been working on.
Since this is my first ever blog as CKillaDesigns, I'll tell you all a little about myself. I'm 23 years old, I'm from Dayton, Ohio, and I work at a factory there. I started doing little crafts with my mom when I was real young. My Grammy and Grandpa owned a hobby shop at the time and I grew up on model cars, train sets, paint-by-numbers, and candle-making. I've always loved working with my hands and creating things. Even the models and paint-by-numbers never looked like the box! As I got older, I started sewing and drawing. I attended a vocational school in high school for graphic design. Then, the local community college for visual communications, eventhough I never finished. I don't think I ever really wanted to become a graphic designer, but the things I learned there, esspecially the fine arts and computer illustration skills, has given me the knowledge and confidence to do so many things.
Right now if you go to my Etsy store, there isn't much to see. I've listed a few potholder and coaster sets, some vintage buttons, and some simple beaded bracelets. There will be lots more coming soon.
Lately, I've been inspired by my boyfriend's Grandma. She makes the most amazing earings out of glass sead beads. Right now I'm studing and researching and figuring things out. There have been a few expieriments both successful and not so.
